Rachel Stoddard
Missouri Training Choir Director
Rachel Stoddard is the junior high and high school
choral director at Scottsdale Christian Academy in Phoenix. She began
her position there in 1995 and currently conducts five choirs and
teaches class piano and guitar.
She was raised in Minneapolis, received
a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Susquehanna University
in Selinsgrove, PA and a Master of Music Education degree from
Arizona State University. She recently joined the Phoenix Boys Choir
as the
director of the Missouri Training Choir.
Rachel is a member of
The Music Educator’s National Conference, The Arizona Music Educator’s
Association and The American Choral Director’s Association.
Performance experiences include singing with the Phoenix Symphony
Chorus, the Valley Chamber Chorale and as a festival voice with
The Phoenix Bach Choir. She also enjoys musical theater and has
served
as the vocal coach/music director for dozens of musicals and
has performed at The Stagebrush Theater, Theaterworks, MVP Theater
and
The Phoenix Theater.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys traveling
and spending time with husband Mark and sons Philip, Stephen,
and Zachary.
