Audition Neighborhood Training Choir Program
Neighborhood Training Choir Program

In 2003, the Phoenix Boys Choir launched its Neighborhood Training Choir Program. The program was created to bring the Phoenix Boys Choir into the neighborhoods where boys live and go to school. This expansion made the Phoenix Boys Choir available to all boys, regardless of where they live or their families’ financial situation.

Through the program, boys who audition and are accepted into the Training Choirs for the youngest boys, rehearse and train twice weekly at elementary schools in their local areas using curriculum developed and taught by Phoenix Boys Choir artistic staff members. The boys in the Neighborhood Training Program also get together once a month for joint rehearsals. The Training Choirs team with the Cadet, Town and Tour Choirs for performances. Currently, 75 boys train in the individual choirs which are located in Scottsdale, Peoria and Tempe, along with the training choir at our main facility in Phoenix.
