The Phoenix Boys Choir possesses many attributes that together form this special and unique institution. The Phoenix Boys Choir celebrates over sixty years of educating boys in the art of singing. The Tour Choir recently returned from Japan where they represented our community, acted as ambassadors of goodwill abroad and touched the lives of the thousands that heard them sing.
Dedicated to preserving the highest ideals of the boy choir tradition, the Phoenix Boys Choir is committed to serving the community by keeping our doors open to all boys that have the talent and desire, but sometimes not the financial resources. “Personally, to me, singing is like breathing. If I couldn’t sing and express myself in that way, it would be like not being able to take a gasp of air,” says one of our Choirboys. It is in this spirit that the Annual Appeal was launched and we turn to you for support for the 2009 – 2010 season.
Through the combined efforts of our wonderful and dedicated Board of Trustees, staff and parents, the Phoenix Boys Choir offers a place where boys learn by performing the finest music in the boy choir tradition, while nurturing friendships and shaping character that will serve them a lifetime.
We are inspired by the support of our families, alumni, friends and businesses in the community and are pleased to report that we raised over $80,000 in last years Annual Appeal. In this challenging economic environment we are very grateful for all gifts, large and small. Your gift will help sustain the excellent programs and continue our contribution to the greater Phoenix musical life and the enhancement of Arizona’s cultural reputation.
