Beginning September 19, 2023, 2nd - 5th grade boys and girls in the East Valley region of the Greater Phoenix area will have a convenient location to experience the unique benefits of choral music available through the Phoenix Boys Choir and Phoenix Girls Chorus. PROGRAM DETAILS

WHAT: An engaging and enriching choir program
 

WHO: Boys and girls in 2nd - 5th grade
 

WHERE: Grace Community Church (choir room)

             1200 E. Southern Ave., Tempe
 

WHEN: Fall 2023 Session - September 19 through December 5 (10 weeks)

TIME: Tuesday evenings from 5:00 - 6:30 pm
 

COST: $150 (includes all classes, 2 performances, and a t-shirt)

YOUR INSTRUCTOR
 

Selena Ryan is a music teacher, composer, and performer from Phoenix, Arizona. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Northern Arizona University (NAU) where she was a member of the clarinet and composition studios. She is also a commissioned composer, most recently having large-scale premieres in Fairfax, Virginia, and Stuttgart, Germany. As a clarinetist, vocalist, and pianist, she is also an avid performer, and loves to perform almost as much as she loves to teach music!

Ms. Ryan works as the proud Director of Bands at Kyrene Middle School, runs a private clarinet studio, and is also working on her Masters in Music and Music Education from Kent State University. She is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of music education and its ability to inspire and shape the lives of young individuals, fostering creativity, instilling discipline, and cultivating a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
