PHOENIX BOYS CHOIR wraps up its 76th season of exceptional musicmaking with an exhilarating Pops Series featuring familiar, contemporary music that's guaranteed to put a smile on your face and set your feet dancing. 

The concerts will include selections by all of our performing ensembles, from our youngest Cadets and  Neighborhood Choirs, through our Town Choir and Tour Choir, to our Young Men's Ensemble and Masters Men's Choir. You'll hear some of pop music's greatest hits, including Don't Stop Believin', Kiss From a Rose, ABC, Believer, Bohemian Rhapsody, and much more.

The electrifying trio of Glen McDaniel, Nick Villalobos, and Zack Clark, together known as SIMPLY THREE, has been captivating audiences worldwide with high-octane performances since 2010. By reshaping convention through their unique style of genre hopping, this Arizona-based trio continues to seek the true essence of classical crossover with original works as well as innovative arrangements that showcase their technical virtuosity and heartfelt musicality.

With nearly 1.5 million YouTube subscribers and an ever-growing online popularity, Simply Three is creating a renewed excitement for instrumental music through inventive music videos that have captured the hearts of viewers across the globe. 

Simply Three has old school training but a new school sound. Their quest to look beyond the scope of possibility has led them to collaborate with some of the world’s most creative musicians, including Kellindo Parker (Janelle Monáe), Alyson Stoner, and Jeff Smith (M-Pact), in hopes of creating a new, fresh genesis for string playing. With this, the trio is able to merge shows into a unique synergy of thrilling performances and tone-rich sounds not soon to be forgotten.

"IT'S A LONG WAY"

Italian-American composer RAPHAEL FUSCO joins the PBC Tour Choir for the world premiere of It's a Long Way, winner of the top prize in PBC's 2023 New Works Rising Choral Composition Competition. Mr. Fusco has been hailed by the international press as “one of the most outstanding composers of his generation (El Mundo),” and “accomplished and winning (The New York Times).” 

 

His genre-crossing compositions include works for voice, chamber ensembles, historical instruments, orchestra, opera, and theater. He has collaborated with world-class artists such as GRAMMY Award winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis, countertenor Nicholas Tamagna, conductors Dirk Brossé, Mark Shapiro and many others. His works have been premiered in Carnegie Hall, Kimmel Center Philadelphia, Lincoln Center, St. Bavo Kerk Haarlem, Gaudì’s Casa Milà in Barcelona, Église de Saint Séverin in Paris, Dvorak House in Prague and Teatro Titano in San Marino. 

Since 2019, Mr. Fusco has served as Senior Artist in the Institute for music theater at the University for Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, where he is pursuing a doctoral degree in artistic research. To learn more, visit Mr. Fusco's website.
