Imagine A World
CHRISTMAS EVE PREMIERE
Thursday, December 24, 2020 2 PM AZ/MST
It's a Christmas Eve Miracle! After nonstop work and the gift of technical help, we have recreated the majority of our 2020 holiday concert.
Prepare to share in the joy, peace and love of our music. Imagine A World is our holiday gift to you; a free broadcast concert for the public to enjoy. We will share music that reflects the world we envision. We will perform a mix of classic carols along with popular musical pieces, some of which were composed as recently as 2020. Patrons will join us in communal singing of favorite traditional songs, which is something we all need right now. Our concert will conclude with our traditional ending pieces, Silent Night/Peace, Peace and the Hallelujah (Chorus). While the singing will feel different as we will not be together in the same space, we will be together in song and in spirit.
Please share our concert far and wide, to share some holiday spirit!

Imagine A World continues the conversation we began with our first concert of our 2020-2021 Season, Awakening. Our 73rd Season’s theme, A Blueprint for Peace, addresses the challenging issues our nation faces. Designed to respond to the challenges of our time, we will use our voices to sing about a world where social and racial injustice is eradicated; where we choose to stand together in solidarity. We believe, as a youth development organization, it is our responsibility to join the dialogue with others and contribute solutions for change. Our four concerts, were created to challenge choristers and patrons to reflect on how our lives, specifically our actions and choices, can make a difference towards equality within our neighborhoods, community, country and ultimately, the world.
The Phoenix Boys Choir is formative music education worth supporting.
The Phoenix Boys Choir is supported by a 50/50 split between earned and contributed revenue. Patrons who purchase concert tickets and parents who enroll their boys in our choirs, camps or classes represent the earned revenue that pays for our overhead and operating costs. Our contributed revenue comes from individuals, businesses that provide us with sponsorships, grants from foundations, in-kind donations and our amazing volunteers.
Our Supporters Provide the Resources For Us To Provide A World Class Arts Education While Developing Boys' Social, Emotion and Life Skills
-
We believe that music unites, inspires, and changes children’s lives and in doing so, can change Phoenix communities.
-
We believe in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters creativity, personal expression, social growth and lifelong friendships.
-
We believe that participation in our choral music ensembles provides a much needed and meaningful shared experience and sense of belonging to each young participant. ∙ We believe opportunities to experience domestic and international travel develop empathy and cultural awareness in our boys, allowing them to see the world as our neighbor.
-
We believe no boy should be turned away due to inability to pay.
The Phoenix Boys Choir never closed our doors due to the pandemic. When we ended in-person rehearsals on March 13th, we started virtual rehearsals the next week on our regularly scheduled rehearsal days. Since then, we have produced virtual choir songs and free concerts, along with virtual camps, music theory classes and special community-building events. It is clear to us that, right now, we need to focus on community first and music second, as people need the arts more than ever!
